Provenance
A birthplace holds special significance and shapes one’s attributes, identity and uniqueness. The same holds true for a diamond. The region or country of origin, where a rough diamond is mined defines its provenance, the very foundation of its remarkable journey.
At Classic Diamond we assure the highest level of authenticity as we responsibly source all our rough diamonds directly from internationally recognized mining companies such as De Beers, Rio Tinto and Burgundy Diamond mines, to name a few, ensuring they are conflict-free and have been mined ethically, responsibly and in full accordance with corporate governance standards.
Our status as a De Beers Sightholder elevates this commitment, ensuring consistent access to high-quality rough diamonds, assured provenance and strengthened supply stability - advantages that uphold the integrity, reliability and enduring value of every diamond we craft.

Refined Cuts
Every polished natural diamond we see today begins its journey over a billion years ago, deep within the heart of the earth, and travels through the experienced hands of our highly skilled artisans, who are in pursuit of perfection. With continuous innovation and sophisticated technology, we elevate the inherent beauty of the rough diamond to create masterpieces that meet the highest standards of quality and excellence.
Classic Diamond’s cuts are refined to enhance fire, brilliance and light, so the diamond thus fashioned captivates with purity and ethereal radiance.
By leveraging precision engineering, artisanal expertise and continuous innovation in cut development, we refine ratios and faceting to manufacture elongated interpretations of iconic cuts, from elongated emeralds to modified cushions to elongated ovals. These evolved silhouettes offer greater presence, harmonious proportions and superior light performance.

Traceability
We hold our integrity to highest standards and place great value on consumer awareness. We encourage our clientele to understand their diamond’s journey of custodianship from the mine to the market. The ability to identify, trace, track and verify a diamond at every stage of the supply chain through secure digital records is referred to as diamond traceability.
Nearly 100% direct sourcing from mining companies enables us to offer complete traceability for almost every diamond purchased from us in form of the Classic Diamond Traceability Certificate. To strengthen this assurance, our diamonds are further supported by internationally recognised origin-verification programmes such as Tracr, Forevermark, Canadamark, Diavik Sourced and GIA SVS, offering verified provenance and comprehensive supply-chain integrity.
To deepen this transparency, every 5 ct+ polished diamond manufactured at Classic Diamond is accompanied by a Diamond Journey video - an exclusive time-lapse that captures its transformation from rough to polish, including evolving weights at each stage. This visual narrative allows clients to experience the complete journey of their diamond with clarity and confidence.
Classic Diamond is also among the first few organizations in the industry to adopt blockchain traceability, reinforcing verification, accountability and trust at every step of the diamond’s lifecycle.

Transparency
Classic Diamond creates value and delivers exceptional experiences through transparency and trust. We believe in cultivating long-term relationships built on the foundation of trust, openness and accountability. The Classic Diamond Grading System evaluates the intrinsic qualities of a diamond across an extensive set of parameters, defined and measured by our in-house GIA certified teams, to further assess its value beyond the industry’s standard 4Cs and grading systems provided by other grading laboratories recognized globally. The Classic Diamond Traceability Certificate [FTC] provides all these values in addition to the verifiable mine to market stages thus setting the benchmark for transparency.
Transparency for us, isn’t merely going beyond the 4Cs, it is an integral part of our organization’s culture where we maintain the same standard of openness with our employees and stakeholders. It has played a major role in developing our Global Manufacturing, Marketing and Distribution Network.

Technology
While staying grounded in our roots, we have embraced the global digital transformation and evolution of the diamond industry by giving special attention to innovation and technology. We use cutting-edge machinery at our manufacturing factories in India, Botswana and Namibia and are in the process of developing and adopting AI-based solutions across all our departments. We have a dedicated division working towards harnessing the best of human expertise and computing power to take our organization to a whole new level of efficiency.
The foundation of the Classic Diamond Traceability Certificate [FTC] is laid on the optimum utilization of emerging technologies- the Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain and high-grade security and privacy- to create digital assets that represent each physical diamond registered with it.

People are the very heart of our organization as they collectively bring to life our grandest visions- it includes every individual we engage with in the process of conducting our business. For those working for us, our dream is to empower them to reach their highest potential and to create local opportunity, growth and impact in places and communities where we have a presence. Classic Diamond has introduced ‘The Artisan Initiative’ for its diamonds being manufactured in Botswana and Namibia where every diamond that has been manufactured by Classic Diamond in Botswana and Namibia will carry a ‘Know Your Artisan’ card which is a note from the local artisans to the buyers, letting them know how they are positively impacting their lives. We work hard at preserving a diverse and inclusive work environment. Gender equality in our workforces is a goal we are working towards by promoting female empowerment.

Core Team
Manoj Singh
How can we bring our customers greater satisfaction? What new value can we offer? These questions have always guided the way I work with our customers. At 17, I left my hometown of Agra, India, for Mumbai and entered the jewellery industry. I came to Japan at 19, gained experience in the Japanese jewellery market, and founded Classic Diamond in 1996. Since then, through diamond manufacturing, importing and wholesale, we have worked to improve quality, pricing and service. Growing alongside our customers and remaining a company they can trust for years to come: this is our enduring philosophy.
Abhishek Baid
Raised in Kofu, one of Japan’s leading jewellery centres, he encountered diamonds and craftsmanship from an early age. His father is both a diamond merchant and a craftsman. Watching him work helped develop his eye for gemstones and his appreciation of fine workmanship. He later studied at GIA (Gemological Institute of America) in the United States, earning the Graduate Diamonds (G.D.) diploma. Fluent in Japanese, English and Hindi, he combines specialist knowledge with an international outlook. As Dia Luce’s brand producer, he helps develop its jewellery and has appeared on QVC for many years as ‘Abi-san’. He explains diamond expertise in accessible terms, sharing their appeal with a wide audience. Looking beyond the 4Cs, he studies the brilliance and individuality of each stone to propose jewellery that is distinctly Dia Luce.
Barman Mrinal Kanti
Drawing on many years of experience, he examines diamonds individually and sorts them according to their quality and characteristics. An important part of sorting is carefully assessing the nuances of colour, transparency, brilliance and individuality that the 4Cs alone cannot fully describe. He strives to notice even the smallest differences, supporting quality from sourcing through to the finished product. Through accurate, attentive work every day, he helps deliver diamonds that customers can choose with confidence.
Sunil Salunke
He primarily handles quality inspection, product management and the selection of loose diamonds. His extensive experience with diamonds enables him to examine brilliance, proportions and the individuality of each stone in detail, beyond what grades alone can reveal. Even diamonds of the same grade differ in their actual beauty. By carefully assessing those differences, he works to propose diamonds suited to each customer’s needs and intended use.
Pathak Avijit
He is responsible for inspecting, selecting and managing loose diamonds. Drawing on extensive handling experience, he considers not only colour and clarity but also the brilliance and overall balance seen in person. Understanding each stone’s characteristics and guiding customers to products that bring out its individual appeal is central to his work. Through accurate and careful checks, he helps maintain quality that customers can trust in every transaction.
Anil Kumar
His responsibilities range from loose diamond inspection to inventory management and product preparation. Drawing on years of experience, he checks the quality and condition of each stone and supports a reliable supply of products. Because diamonds require meticulous handling, careful management that catches small differences and changes is essential. Valuing both accuracy and speed, he helps deliver products that customers can select with confidence.
